Hytale - Minimum requirements

Hytale’s official PC hardware requirements are split into three tiers: a minimum spec for 1080p at around 30 FPS, a recommended spec for smooth 1080p 60 FPS on high settings, and a more powerful setup aimed at creators who want to record or stream at 1440p while playing. The table below summarizes each tier so you can quickly see where your PC fits.

Another considerations

  • View distance & performance
View distance is the single most important graphics setting in Hytale. Increasing it means more of Orbis is simulated and rendered at once, which hits CPU, RAM, VRAM and bandwidth. The developers designed the world around a view distance of about 384 blocks as a “sweet spot”, but you can lower it on weaker machines or raise it if you have headroom.
  • Singleplayer vs multiplayer
In singleplayer, your machine runs both the client and the server simulation, so CPU and RAM usage are higher. In multiplayer, the heavy simulation is done on the remote server, so your PC mainly handles rendering and input, which usually results in better performance with the same hardware.
  • Storage & world size
The base install is roughly 8 GB, but worlds grow as you explore. A world around 5000×5000 blocks can reach hundreds of megabytes, so it’s a good idea to keep at least 10 GB free, with 20 GB+ as a safer long-term target on an SSD.
  • Network requirements
The download is digital-only; once installed, you can play singleplayer offline. For multiplayer, required bandwidth depends a lot on view distance. Smaller maps and minigames use modest bandwidth, while big survival servers with large view distances can go up to several megabits per second.
